So to better understand how people really use their wallets, we asked 4,599 of our global community members to share how they interact with Web3. Their responses helped shape our latest

Crypto Wallet Use Cases, offering a powerful look at how wallet usage is evolving across generations, regions, and lifestyles and how wallets are becoming essential to everyday finance, opportunity, and freedom.
Wallets as Everyday Tools for Onchain Life
Gone are the days when wallets were only used to store and transfer tokens. According to our findings:

48% of users use their wallet to trade

46% use it to earn rewards

40% use it to make payments
-
And a sizable number use it for staking (37%), market tracking (35%), and token discovery (33%)
What’s especially exciting is how many of crypto holders are using wallets for real, everyday needs—whether that’s sending funds to family, tracking new token trends, or generating yield on idle assets.
Strong Interest from Gen Zs Across Regions
We saw strong engagement from Gen Z, especially in crypto payments (43%). But behaviors vary by region, which helps us better understand how to meet your needs globally:

In Africa (53%) and Southeast Asia (60%), wallets are being used heavily for remittances and payments, being essential alternatives to unstable fiat systems or limited banking access.

In Latin America (41%), staking and farming for yield is the top use case, helping users hedge against inflation and preserve savings.

In East Asia, we saw the highest levels of long-term holding (44%) and yield generation (42%), suggesting a more strategic, value-driven approach.

In Eastern Europe (41%), wallets are widely used for peer-to-peer payments and digital commerce.

In Western Europe and North America, trading and onchain reward programs remain top priorities, reflecting a more portfolio-style engagement in this region.
